Kawasaki Puccetti Racing's website was redesigned to enhance user experience. Lasting 4 months, as a UX designer and web developer oversaw both design and development. Collaborated with copywriters for text.

design a new interface and improving the existing user experience for the Kawasaki Puccetti Racing, a team of the World Superbike Championship. Develop the new website and give the possibility to editors to publish articles using a CMS.

ux design

competitors and benchmarking

By analysing the websites of the competitors of Kawasaki Puccetti Racing Team we were able to understand and improve the gap with the old website. The main competitors analysed were Ducati and Yamaha.

The main interventions on the information architecture were on the Blog page and Calendar SBK 2022 page.

SBK Calendar 2022
For the 2022 SBK season page has been created a general page with the calendar function and a single page with the description of each round containing information about the circuit and, for the finished rounds, the results of the round with particular emphasis on the kawasaki puccetti racing team riders.

On the blog page the articles for the new season will be divided by Round of the 2022 Superbike Championship season. Unfortunately the articles from the 2012 season to the 2021 season were not divided according to Rounds during their publication and therefore it was necessary to create two layouts, one for the blog of the new season articles and one for the past season articles.

Team page
The user flow of the "Teams" page has also been modified, with summaries of the progress and results of the Kawasaki Puccetti Racing Team for all seasons from 2012 to 2022. The amount of text was really high and the subdivision into paragraphs prevented an adequate fruition of the contents and for this reason the seasons have been subdivided into accordions, allowing the user to focus on a single season at a time.

lo-fi prototype

ui & Design system

While sharing the wireframe with the stakeholders of the Kawasaki Puccetti Racing Team, it became clear that they particularly appreciated the division of the content into blocks and would liked to see this also in the high fidelity prototype.
Following these guidelines I created a clean design system made of lines and blocks.
I created a set of icons for each round of the Superbike World Championship 2022.

For the development of the site I created a custom theme for wordpress. For them it was necessary to have a CMS because they need to insert numerous articles daily for the blog and update the various results of the World Superbike Championship.
